1. Scope of Services

The Window Covering Specialist provides consultation, measuring, specification, procurement, project coordination, and installation services for custom window treatments and related products. Products may include custom draperies, shades, Roman shades, hardware, motorization, and related materials and services.

Specific products, services, pricing, and project requirements are established in the customer's written proposal, estimate, invoice, or project agreement.

2. Custom and Made-to-Order Products

Many products we provide are custom-made, made-to-measure, specially ordered, or fabricated specifically for an individual project.

Because these products may not be resalable or reusable for another customer, orders may become non-cancelable and payments may become non-refundable after materials have been ordered, fabrication has begun, or other non-recoverable project costs have been incurred.

3. Deposits and Payments

Custom projects may require a deposit before materials are ordered or fabrication begins.

Depending on the project, the remaining balance may be collected through one or more milestone payments and/or a final payment.

The specific payment schedule will be disclosed in the customer's proposal, invoice, or project agreement. By approving a project and making payment, the customer acknowledges the applicable project specifications, pricing, payment schedule, and cancellation/refund terms.

4. Changes and Customer Approval

Customers are responsible for reviewing project specifications, selections, measurements where applicable, colors, materials, quantities, motorization requirements, and other information presented for approval.

Changes requested after approval may result in additional charges and may affect the project's estimated completion date.

5. Lead Times and Project Scheduling

Custom fabrication and delivery times vary based on product selection, material availability, manufacturer or workroom schedules, shipping, installation requirements, and other factors outside our direct control.

Any estimated completion, delivery, or installation date is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing.

We will communicate material changes to the anticipated project schedule when reasonably possible.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the stage of the project and whether custom materials, products, fabrication, or other non-recoverable costs have already been committed.

Applicable terms are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy and may also be stated in the customer's signed proposal, invoice, or project agreement.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

7. Delivery and Installation

Where installation is included, installation will be scheduled after applicable products are ready and required payments or other project conditions have been satisfied.

The customer is responsible for providing reasonable access to the project location and identifying known conditions that could interfere with installation.

Unforeseen site conditions or customer-requested changes may result in additional charges or scheduling adjustments when appropriate.

8. Payment Questions and Disputes

Customers should promptly contact The Window Covering Specialist regarding any question or concern involving a payment, product, or service so that we have an opportunity to investigate and attempt to resolve the matter.

In the event of a payment dispute or chargeback, we may provide the applicable payment processor, acquiring bank, card network, or financial institution with relevant records concerning the transaction. These records may include signed agreements, invoices, project specifications, customer approvals, correspondence, payment records, delivery or installation documentation, photographs, and other evidence relevant to the transaction.

Nothing in this section prevents a cardholder from exercising any dispute rights available under applicable law or card-network rules.

9. Third-Party Products and Services

Certain products or portions of a project may be manufactured, fabricated, supplied, delivered, programmed, or installed with the assistance of manufacturers, workrooms, suppliers, installers, or other qualified service providers.

Manufacturer warranties, where applicable, are subject to the manufacturer's individual terms and conditions.

10. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information on this website. However, website photographs, descriptions, examples, and other materials are provided for general informational purposes and do not replace the specifications and terms contained in an individual customer's written proposal or project agreement.
